Paul Hawn

Paul Hawn has more than 28 years of valuation and property tax experience. Hawn is a registered Senior Property Tax Consultant servicing some of the firm's largest clients.

Hawn has served as Regional Director for the Dallas office of Equity Property Tax Group; Regional Manager for CBIZ Property Tax Solutions, Inc; co-founder and principal of Avtax, Inc.- a full service property tax consulting firm with eight offices; district manager for Property Tax Services Company (PTS); and on the Controller's staff of Southland Corporation. He holds a bachelor's of business administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Arlington and is a member of the Certified Member of the Institute (CMI) for Professionals in Taxation.

Lee Simmons

Lee Simmons, a registered Senior Property Tax Consultant, has been active in the property tax business for more than 20 years and virtually grew up in the business. He spent four years with the Dallas Central Appraisal District and was Assistant Manager of their largest office. Previously, Simmons was with Arthur Andersen & Co. were he helped establish the property tax department. Prior to that, he was with Arthur D. Little, Inc. in the property tax divison.

Simmons has a master's in Finance from the University of Texas at Dallas ('80) and a bachelor's degree in Accounting from the University of Texas at Austin ('79). He is an active Real Estate Broker in Texas. He is a member of the Georgia Association of Assessing Officers, Texas Association of Assessing Officers, Dallas Chapter of TAAO, Society of Auditor Appraisers, and International Association of the Assessing Officers.

Brian Brandstetter

Brian Brandstetter has represented major property taxpayers for more than 19 years and has worked with jurisdictions in 23 states to control property taxes for his clients. He's a registered Senior Property Tax Consultant and held positions including consultant, Regional Manager, IT Director, Senior Consultant and Vice President for national consulting firms.

Brandstetter holds a bachelor's degree in Geology from Mesa State in Colorado and a master's of science in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines. He was formerly a licensed appraiser in Colorado, Texas Association of Assessing Officers, and the Institute for Property Tax Professionals.

Jack Simmons

Jack Simmons has been active in the property tax business for more than 50 years. He is past President and current Chairman of Property Tax Service Company and was the founder of Property Tax Service Company in 1970. In his five decades of service, Simmons has represented virtually every type of business in every state. The property tax service industry is full of executives who have worked for and with Simmons in some capacity.

Simmons received a bachelor's degree in Business from North Texas University. He is an active Real Estate Broker in Texas and has served on the Board of Directors for the Kendall County Appraisal District and on the Property Tax Steering Committee for the Comptroller of the State of Texas.

Paul Hannah

Paul Hannah is one of PTS' affiliated consultants representing a wide variety of clients primarily in the Western states concentrating in California. Hannah has been in the property tax industry for 40 years. Previously, Hannah was with the Los Angeles County Assessor's Office for 26 years. He held various positions including Director of Valuations with a staff of 550 appraisers. Hannah received a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Math from Whittier College ('61) and his California Real Estate Certificate ('64). Hannah has a CAE Certification from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO).

He has been cetified by the State Board of Equalization as an Appraiser for his work in the Assessor's Office. Hannah is the past President of the Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Government Appraisers and a past member of the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Chapter of the IAAO.

Jackie Dean

Jackie Dean has been with Property Tax Service Company for the last six years.  In that time, she has become directly involved in working on valuations for a large majority of our clients in taxing jurisdictions nationwide.  In addition, she handles the filing of our client's business personal property returns and manages our administrative staff. She has a bachelor's degree in Business Adminstration with an Accounting functional major from Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri.  She is a registered Property Tax Consultant and a member of the International Association of Assessing Officers.

Ken Larson

Ken Larson is an affiliated consultant associated with PTS. He worked as an appraiser from 1969 to 1985 for Lake County, IL. He appraised property throughout Lake County for assessment purposes. From 1985 to 2002 Larson was the Chief County Assessment Officer for Lake County. He oversaw the assessment work of eighteen township assessors. Larson answered directly to the Lake County Board and the Lake County Administrator.

Larson is an Officer and past President of the Illinois Property Assessment Institute and Officer and past President of the Illinois County Assessment Officials Association. Larson attended Eastern Illinois University and served as a volunteer paramedic with the Antioch Rescue Squad for more than ten years.

Diana Lackey

Diana Lackey serves Property Tax Service clients by assisting with property tax assessment and valuation and overall management. She has more than 20 years of property tax assessment experience and was the candidate endorsed by the Dallas Morning News in the 2004 race for Dallas County Tax Assessor. Lackey served six years as the assistant assessor in Santa Clara County, California, where she directed the operations of all divisions, with more than 240 employees and $199.8 billion assessed valuation. She also served as residential division chief in the San Diego County Assessor Realty Division, the first woman appointed to such a position, and acted as the Assessor's advocate at appeals and appraisal hearings. Lackey has a bachelor's of science in Accounting from San Diego State University. She also has continuing education certifications from the American Institute of Real Estate Appraisers, Society of Real Estate Appraisers and the California State Board of Equalization. She is a member of the North Texas Chapter of the Texas Association of Assessing Offices.
